At the weekend I saw an exhibition of Jockum Nordström’s art. I’d never heard of him before but was drawn immediately to his fabulous narrative collages. His compositions, drawn lines, textures and painterly marks are all carefully and subtly arranged in collage.
I wasn’t so keen on the sculptures and drawings; but they work well in the space with the collages, they are also informing the viewer, adding to the same themes that run throughout the work.
For those of you reading and in London the exhibition is free and is on till the 29 Sept 2013 at the Camden Arts Centre. The exhibition is called Jockum Nordström
All I Have Learned and Forgotten Again.
